Tamoxifen bodybuilding is a nonsteroidal agent with anti-estrogen activity. They call it also Selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). In medical practice it cures estrogen dependent tumors, for instance breast cancer. Bodybuilders take Tamoxifen to fight estrogen-related side effects. So, Tamoxifen prevents gynecomastia by competing for the receptor site in breast tissue, and binding to it.

High levels of estrogen in males can lead to edema, gynecomastia, and female pattern fat distribution. Tamoxifen bodybuilding can prevent all of them. These effects can also happen due to downfall of androgen levels. Estrogen in this case becomes the main hormone.
